The only problem with Ekiga /me has faced is that there seems to be no button or likes to accept an incoming call! You have to rely on the notification dialogue which pops up on an incoming call where you may see buttons to accept or reject the call.
But for Openbox and other similar WM users (like myself), the notifiation dialog is hardly helpful. Of course, there's the ctrl+O shortcut to accept calls, but frankly, this can hardly be described as intuitive as compared to say a button on the main interface, which just seems more natural.. I hope the ekiga devs work on war-footing to address this basic deficiency, as otherwise it can NEVER hope to become a viable replacement for Skype. (No idea if it has already been addressed in bleeding-edge version though!) Another choice of softphone may be Twinkle ( http://www.xs4all.nl/~mfnboer/twinkle/index.html). However, its interface, being based on qt3, may look a bit dated. -- Sayan "Riju" Chakrabarti Kolkata, India. --------------------------------------------------------- GnuPG Public Key ID: 0xB6506B6F Alt.
