Govt celebrating World Intellectual Property Day on 26th April 2012.
It will be interesting to see how they apply the criteria - "contributed
towards the betterment of mankind and towards the socio-economic
development of the country" (sr no 5) ... as any of these designs etc
would have contributed more in this regard if not patented!

Awardees will be selected by an independent jury comprising of prominent
professionals working in diverse fields such as IP professionals,
Industrialists, Researchers, R&D managers and Representative (s) of the
Government of India.

Application Forms. The completed Application Form along with the
applicable Annexures are required to be sent to "Office of the

Bhawan, S.M.Road, Antop Hill, Mumbai - 400037", so as to reach on or
before 1st March 2012. (Please Note : The envelopes must be superscribed
with "National IP Awards 2012."
