I wonder what exactly is meant by 'developing the overall personality of students, improving written and spoken English and providing the basic computer knowledge', and which part of this is worth nearly 10k per head (unless the residential cost is included, in which case the poor kids are bound to have a pretty rough time).
Rather than whinge about the fact that vendors of proprietary software can generate the sort of money that produces such events, we should use this list to seed the creation of parallel events that will be staffed (with or without fees) by FOSSers. If student fees are necessary (quite likely, imho), the money can be channelled through either fsfi or any volunteering FOSS company, to simplify the payments through banking channels. -- Vickram Fool On The Hill "The cameras were all around.
