Dear FOSSCOM members

We have earlier engaged with cases (including writing to education departments in cases where proprietary software has been stipulated in procurement documents / syllabi / programmes etc.)

Rajasthan government which plans to distribute 56,000 laptops to students has specified proprietary software (Adobe Professional writer, Microsoft Office professional) in its bid document. Final RFP document and a letter drafted by us on   http://www.itforchange.net/Letter_Rajasthan_government_Laptop_purchase_feb2013

Pls share your thoughts/suggestions. Are there any members in Jaipur who can meet the education dept officials and explain to them as well

regards,
Guru
