Introduction

Graphic and UI Designers extensively use Photoshop as the graphic tool
under the impression that there is no other professional grade graphic
application other than that. Many designers hesitate to switch to
GNU/Linux OS just because of unawareness that there are alternatives
to Photoshop. One such free and light weight alternative is GIMP (GNU
Image Manipulation Program). GIMP has a similar Interface (and
elements) as that of Photoshop with some features what Photoshop too
does not offer.
