Hi Folks, I am conducting two days workshop on GIMP - The Free Alternative to Photoshop through CSI Mumbai on 22 – 23 June, 2013, 9.30 am to 5.30 pm
The details of the workshop are available at http://www.csimumbai.org/events-in-detail.asp?event_id=69927105901 Introduction Graphic and UI Designers extensively use Photoshop as the graphic tool under the impression that there is no other professional grade graphic application other than that. Many designers hesitate to switch to GNU/Linux OS just because of unawareness that there are alternatives to Photoshop. One such free and light weight alternative is GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program). GIMP has a similar Interface (and elements) as that of Photoshop with some features what Photoshop too does not offer. To check some sample graphics developed in GIMP, visit this album: https://plus.google.com/photos/106955939153711416779/albums/5476637999138329041 Objectives The course is designed for those who want to explore alternate options in Graphic designing.
