I am looking for documents on usage of open source software by Ministry
of Defence of Government of India, such as strategy papers, software
procurement guidelines, tender documents, technology foresight studies etc.
Would you know of any such documents?
I have seen reports on DRDO's interest in developing 'Indian Operating
Systems' and softwares for secured networking etc. I have heard of
Ministry of Defence's plans to fund open source software development in
India at the college/university level (might be an optimistic story).
But cannot find any documents around them.
Checked Annual Reports of MoD but could not find details about the
software side of Indian defence apparatus.
