Yes, well Microsoft would indeed want to encourage users (especially captive markets like banks, whose front end devices tend to be principally Windows, and not only because of the numerous applets that package the data coming off the core banking system) to switch to a newer system, wouldn't they? The RBI can't, but wouldn't it be interesting if they could order Microsoft to supply the upgrades for free?
