I don't see the word 'free' anywhere. I cannot believe that the party,
which is being described in the media as tech-savvy, especially with regard
to its election campaign, does not know the difference, or that the
development and acceptability of open standards in India has been deeply
compromised following sustained lobbying by proprietary vendors.

If the political parties can't take a stand now, before our established
infrastructure becomes completely dependent on individual vendors and their
agents, while seeking our support, why should they expect to be considered
a political force that targets a better future for us?
