Hello again,
We have now added all the details to our site www.dff.org.in for any one
to help us out.
NEFT details are provided and also some details on how much we would
need, although I have already mentioned this previously.
Happy hacking.

Dear all,
I guess many of us Know GNUKhata <www.dff.org.in> will give you more
details.
You can also visit gitlab.com/gnukhata for more specific technical
details.
I have been laeding this project for over 4 years now. We have put in
a huge amount of hard work and the features are really good enough for
small to medium scale organizations.
We already Have ICFOSS using it and had funded it for last year and up
till now partially this year.
We have a few other users including chinmiya University and a couple
of small NGOs in Latur Maharashtra, who use the version 1 of the web
based application.
Now while the web application is useful for organizations, Individual
accountants (CA) and other small retail and shops need a desktop based
application which gives a standard desktop based feel which is
browserless.
We have got a release of that application too off late.
The version one of the said deskapp was released on 18th October 2014.
We however have to go a long way in implementing a lot of features
from the wish list, thanks to the feedback given by our custommers and
our domain expert Mr. Arun Kelkar, a practicing CA with experience of
over 35 years (he also knows programming ).
Off late due to some reason, we have had problems with funding and the
organization running this project (Digital Freedom Foundation
<www.dff.org.in>) is finding it difficult keeping the team intact.
Our funders could not sustain the funding commitment due to some
shortage of funding, thanks to the government not releasing enough money.
As we all realize having a very solid, powerful and multi front ended
accounting software is key to Free software growing, I wish to not
abandon the development due to such a reason.
We have a very dedicated team of 6 developers excluding project leader
which is your's truely and our domain expert.
The entire team has been working hard despite of less than half the
salary being payed. The team too sees a vision in the project, but
may have to quit the project half way for their financial commitments
and a better job.
SO we are in a position to either stop the project at least for next 4
months and cause a damage to the momentum, or have some stop gap
funding, if willing people are ready to contribute.
Our requirement is very minor given the fact that developers only need
a security promis that they will be payed.
We thus need only Rs. 300,000/- to pay salaries for 2 months.
I would strongly urge fellow FOSSCOM members to come ahead in this
regard and save a valuable FOSS project.
Our ultimate aim is to make this project self sustained and not
require donations. However we wish to build a firm foundation for
this and unless we reach a version 2 stage which will have more
advanced user requested features, we can't get a lot of custommers and
sustain the development. We would hence request every one possible to
donate to DFF in their capacity to save this project.
We need to raise the said amount in next 15 days, I am mailing this
request as a last resort to save the project.
Hope there will be a united efert to raise this funding.
Regards
happy hacking.
Krishnakant.
