Most of you probably know me, for those who don't, I am Krishnakant Mane
from India (Mumbai).
I am a techno socialist and a free software advocate.
I lead a free software project, for developing a book keeping program
called GNUKhata <gnukhata.in> a complete free software alternative to
well known proprietary accounting software.
There are also a few other projects I have done in the past such as True
Vision with ELCOT and Insight in Kerala, both for digital empowerment of
blind community.
I have been developing GNUKhata through an organization called Digital
Freedom foundation <www.dff.org.in> a not for profit organization ,for
propagation and development of free software in the field of Finance,
education of disabled and rural development.
Right now GNUKhata is our flagship work in the field of free software.
However given that I am myself totally blind,I wish to mentor many more
blind programmers.
I have a course plan for the same. (and this is a unique project, a
first of it's kind in India ) However Digital Freedom Foundation is
running out of place for all our work.
We are raising funds for a lab, where all activities can be take up on
full scale.

Kindly help this cause so that not just GNUKhata, but all our free
software projects get a stable place and a proper setup, which we are
currently not able to have due to shortage of funds.
