Thanks for your inputs/support on Hindi typing using IBUS, we have
trained directly and indirectly around 1,000 Hindi government high
school teachers in Karnataka and more than 10% of them have purchased
laptops post this training with GNU/Linux installed or have installed
GNU/Linux post purchase.
Assam Education department has invited us to conduct similar workshops
for their maths and science teachers and we would like to include typing
in the Assamese, Bengali and Bodo languages (scripts) using IBUS. We
would be grateful for any advice on typing using IBUS in the scripts
relating to the languages spoken in Assam (Assamese, Bodo, Bengali), so
that its use can be popularised across teachers in the entire state.
Also if there are any free software folks in Assam whose help we can
take for the training.

their professional development, through the 'subject teacher forum'
program. The program platform is a custom distribution of GNU/Linux.
This year we will have workshops for Hindi language teachers. Our team
