As I recall, delete-phys was considered, but there were two concerns:
* All of the other "delete" subcommands actually delete the
corresponding type of link. In this case, the link has already
been deleted (via DR), and only its persistent configuration
remains.
* All of the other "delete" subcommands have a corresponding
"create" subcommand.

I think that would lead to quite a mess of options.
