Things are getting weird now, but I think it's a Solaris 10 networking issue:

I've reinstalled one of the machines from a FlashArchive (Solaris 9 9/04 +
patches), installed SRSS 3.1. When snooping for multicast traffic on the ce1
interface, I see the following happen:

- The Solaris 9 box sends its multicast traffic with correct checksums
(according to ethereal).

- The Solaris 9 box obviously receives all the multicast traffic from all the
Solaris 10 boxes as well. Looking at the packet contents, ethereal shows me
*correct* UDP checksums -- even for those packets that are reported to have an
incorrect one on the sending machine...

Further, I tried to disable the UDP checksum in Solaris via "ndd -set /dev/udp
udp_do_checksum 0" on two of the Sol10 machines. snoop then reports the
checksum to be set to 0x0 for the outgoing packets, but this traffic still
doesn't reach the recipients, so this probably isn't the cause of the effects
I'm seeing.

Since I'm running out of ideas now, I think I'll need to open a case unless
someone in this forum has some tips...
