Yes. There is some work going on. The EVDO PCcard from Verizon
Wireless has been shown to work with Solaris, but I don't know what
the status is of getting the necessary stuff into OpenSolaris.
There are issues with using an EVDO capable mobile phone, such as the
Treo 6x0 or 700, as a modem, however. It would be great to have this
working!
There was a proposal for a Wireless WAN (WWAN) project, but I don't
know what happened to it.
