This is a mistake on at least two counts:

        - Code compiled on a _new_ system cannot be run on an _old_
system, and Nevada is newer than S10. We support backward
compatibility for user applications (running old ABI or
DDI/DKI applications on a new system), but not the other
          direction.

        - Copying *ANY* binaries (drivers, libraries, applications)
that are part of the Solaris operating system itself between
versions of Solaris is unsupported. It won't work and may
          cause system failure.

There are of course more updates coming to S10, and some features and
changes that are present in Nevada may be backported, but none of that
will allow you to run a Nevada driver on S10. If you need a specific
fix or feature from Nevada as an S10 patch, then you should talk with
support.

In this case, I believe the change you want is CR 6431317, which
should be in the next version of patch 118855 (it went into -27, but
that hasn't been released), and should be in the next update release.
