the problems. We had Sun swap all our X2100s for X2100 M2s because of

Well, hmm...
I've had no trouble w/ a tyan 2865, which is what's in a u20. The K8
is problematic, but that's plugged into a different switch (both are
consumer gigabit devices). I'll try booting the k8 plugged into the
same switch as my 2865 to rule out that problem.
