Hi everyone,

I'm trying to get Nevada 54 working on a Dell PowerEdge 4600, which I have just
reinstalled from Fedora Core 4. Fedora worked fine with the ethernet interface,
and passed traffic perfectly.

As soon as I installed Nevada 54, none of the networking worked. I assumed that
I had a setting wrong or something, but nothing I tried from the prompt after
installing worked. I finally tracked down the following error in the log files:

[ID 801725 kern.warning] WARNING: bge0: Device 'pci14e4,1644' (5700) revision
20 not supported

I tracked THIS error to the source code in bge_chip2.c that states for the
device ID 5700, its the only one that doesn't get "dev_ok = B_TRUE" set. Is
this on purpose, or an oversight?

My interface actually shows up, and is labeled "bge0". I can set the IP address
and everything, but no traffic is passed. Is this a speed/duplex issue, or
something more sinister?

Ian
