On a Solaris 10 U3 (with nge 1.4) I definitely get similar issues as described
above; particularly where the interface stops passing packets. Furthermore, on
this particular motherboard, there are two onboard nge-driven ports and on a
soft reboot, one (nge0) will come up, but not pass packets and the other (nge1)
will fail with:

WARNING: nge1: nge_attach: nge_chip_reset() failed

However a hard power off, with the power physically removed from the server,
the two interfaces will come back and work just fine.

I hope that whatever fix gets distributed as a patch for Solaris 10 U3, as this
is sort of a show stopper for purchasing quite a few server motherboards using
the nvidia chipset.
