That is funny, because I've just moved from S10U3 because of the timer bug
(http://bugs.opensolaris.org/view_bug.do?bug_id=6498408). I use my Solaris box
merely as router/firewall so ipfilter is important for me.
A fix for that will become available for Solaris 10 (is already in
progress.) If you have a support contract, you should be able
to get in contact with someone at Sun and raise an escalation
so that you can get a patch "sooner".
Or if you're willing to use "open source" bits, go back to S10U3
and download the latest IPFilter and pfil from the IPFilter home
page (now fixed to build on S10U3.)
