sowmini> At least for the near future, we will have two daemons: nwamd and sowmini> linkmgmtd, that both do some sort of "setprop" for configuring link sowmini> properties. It also looks like the definition of what is a link sowmini> property is subjective: NWAM does not configure link speed/duplex sowmini> etc., but does look at mtu, whereas linkmgmtd's focus appears to be sowmini> link-aggregations.
Although you raise valid concerns, you are jumping to conclusions when you say this "will" happen. Only NWAM phase 0 has integrated, and both NWAM phase 1 and the various Clearview projects change things substantially. We (the NWAM team) have been in contact with various members of the Clearview team and one or both of our designs may well change to take the other into account. In fact, Renee and I discussed this somewhat with Sebastien the other day and we plan to have a larger "mind-meld" meeting between the NWAM and Clearview teams in the near future. We'll be sure to invite you and report the results back here. -- John http://blogs.sun.com/jbeck _______________________________________________ networking-discuss mailing list [email protected]
