Hi All, Am using PFIL to intercept my v4 packets and convert it into v6 pkts before they leave my sol box. As soon as i push pfil below the IP module, i could see that pfil is attaching itself to the default IPv4 interface. Problem here is that , once it's attached to ipv4, the v6 pkts that i create out of the intercepted v4 packets are not sent out of the interface [ because it's attached to v4. Guess they are silently dropped by the interface ]. How do i dynamically bind to the v6 socket and send this v6 packet out of the interface ?
Earlier i had both v4 and v6 interfaces, and Paul suggested me to push my filter module on both the v4 and v6 stacks and communicate between my modules. Looks like that's going to take a hell lot of time. Hence i removed the v4 interface that i had in my sol box, and now i have only the v6 interface. Can someone please clarify on how do i dynamically bind to a v6 socket and send this packet out ?
