Is your router connected to the Internet?  Even if you are connected
without name services it is going to be hard to get very far.

I'm not sure which rev of Solaris you installed.  This mailing list is
about OpenSolaris networking.  If you installed SXDE or some other
nevada derivative then this is an ok place for questions (note that
there is also installation help on the sxde page more directed at
sxde).  Otherwise the advice might not correspond to what you have.

If you are using the latest SXDE (http://developers.sun.com/sxde/) then
do a 'svcadm disable network/physical:default ; svcadm enable
network/physical:nwam' from a root xterm.  Depending on a fair number
of things that should just configure your network.  Check out the nwam
project at http://opensolaris.org/os/project/nwam/ and drop by our
discussion list at [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you have more
questions.
