Hello from Spain, I've installed Opensolaris 11 nevada build70 in my laptop but Broadcom Ethernet doesn't works. I make this:
1. /usr/sbin/rem_drv bge (I make this because I install/unistall many times xD). 2. pkgrm SUNWbge (the same thing) 3. cat /etc/driver_aliases | grep bge (I check that's empty, cause I remove package and driver) 4. pkgadd -d . SUNWbge (from '/Solaris11/Product' on dvd) // System warn me that I need to be root... I type yes // To know my PCI number, vendor, device: 'prtconf -v' */ 5a. /usr/sbin/add_drv -i ' "pci14e4,169d" ' bge devfsamd: driver failed to atatach" bge Warning: Driver (bge) succesfully added to system but failed to attach 6. ifconfig bge0 plumb ifconfig: cannot open link "bge0": No such device or address 7. ifconfig -a bge0 ifconfig: bge0: bad address I try making points 1, 2, 3, 4 and then: 5b. /usr/sbin/update_drv -a -i ' "pci14e4,169d" ' bge devfsamd: driver failed to atatach" bge Warning: Driver (bge) succesfully added to system but failed to attach 6. ifconfig bge0 plumb ifconfig: cannot open link "bge0": No such device or address 7. ifconfig -a bge0 ifconfig: bge0: bad address Any suggests ?
