Yup.
It's worth noting that when you squint properly, both the point-to-point
"destination address" and the netmask are really just syntactic sugar
for routes to a particular interface.
there really should be some way to tell the system "just don't look
at /etc/netmasks at all. all my netmasks in /etc/hostname.*"
