Yes, but that limitation (restricting the MTU size) effectively means
that these devices cannot be used in *most* VLAN configurations. So
perhaps the terminology is not quite right, but something like "full
VLAN support" or "full MTU size tagging" is needed?
To be quite honest, I still think the idea of supporting VLANs where the
MTU is less than 1500 is a bit questionable. Does anyone in the field
ever do this? Has anyone *seen* real deployments set up this way?
(AFAIK, most other operating systems do not support VLAN configuration
NICs unless they can support the full size MTU with a tag.)
