If IPv4 is really going to be running out soon, more ISPs (and more consumer router/firewall devices) should be supporting IPv6, IMO. But until that happens, if we want IPv6 connectivity, tunneling seems to be the way to go. Unfortunately, consumer router/firewalls often don't know what to do with IP protocols other than TCP and UDP. Maybe STUN or Teredo (both have RFCs) are the approaches I want...
