If you are wanting to try out OpenSolaris, you would probably be better served at install-discuss or sysadmin-discuss. Based upon the fact that you were previously running Debian, it sounds like OpenSolaris may be for you. If you are wanting to run a (not for free) supported version of Solaris like Solaris 10, you may get a bit more free attention/support and help from at http://sun.com/bigadmin or the sun-managers mailing list (ask google). Of course, if what you are really after is commercial support, I'm pretty sure that OS support for this class of hardware is relatively cheap and you can probably find a link off of http://sun.com/solaris. The hint that you need to get started on this is that you really need to do a text-mode install using the serial port. Most likely you will need to connect at 9600,8,n,1. If that doesn't get you going, try one of the other places I mention that is more appropriate for this question. -- Mike Gerdts http://mgerdts.blogspot.com/ _______________________________________________ networking-discuss mailing list [email protected]
