sometime during installation, you should have been asked which network 
interface to use - did that happen? did you configure your system to use 
DHCP during installation?

Here's what I'd do if I were you:
You can re-do that part by running 'sys-unconfig' (as root of course). This 
reboots the machine and causes it to come up without "identity", and that 
includes network configuration. Make sure that your router etc. are up and 
running at that point.
