If your Solaris machine is a DHCP client of one of the home market
Gateway/router devices (linksys/netgear,etc.) then there should be an
easy way to configure the DHCP server on that device to supply the IP
addresses of the OpenDNS servers in the DHCP response. I know on my
Wireless linksys router there are 3 fields to type in up to 3 DNS server
IP's.
