Per http://cvs.opensolaris.org/source/xref/onnv/onnv-gate/usr/src/uts/common/sys/aggr.h the maximum number of devices per OpenSolaris aggregation is 256, and the maximum number of aggregations (due to Id limit) is 1000 (0-999).
