Zhijun,

I did look at the manual you mentioned here. But, I couldn't find the GRE
tunnel support (only IPv4 or IPv6 tunnel). Basically, I want to create GRE
tunnels on Solaris. Is it feasible?
Hi Shu,

If I understand correctly, GRE tunnel isn't supported in Solaris 10 yet.

Thanks a lot,
-Shu

Hi Shu,

On Solaris you'll need to rely on a collection of tools to do this,
instead of a single one.

ifconfig for IP address related operations
route, netstat for routing
dladm for link administration
ipfilter for firewalling

You may want to take a look at "Solaris Administration Guide: IP Services"
http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/816-4554

Zhijun

Zhijun,

Thanks a lot for the information. Then, what is the corresponding tool in
Solaris world as iproute in Linux? Sorry, I am really naive in Solaris.

-Shu
