Hi All: Just installed snv_101a, and Im having some issues with wireless connectivity using the ath driver.
The Setup: OpenSolaris 2008.05 image updated to snv_101a. ZFS RAID-Z pool sharing out CIFS and NFS to wireless clients in my house. Wireless network using ath driver, WPA2-Personal using AES encryption at the Access Point, 802.11g/n mixed mode. At first I had everything configured via NWAM, and all was well in the world when I was streaming low bandwidth video/audio. But when I decided to do backups to the shares (either NFS or CIFS), bandwidth would vary between 1.5MB/s to --stalled-- then back to 1.5MB/s /var/adm/messages shows Nov 12 14:15:47 nevada mac: [ID 486395 kern.info] NOTICE: ath0 link down Nov 12 14:15:49 nevada mac: [ID 744254 kern.info] NOTICE: ath0 link up over and over, usually, for 1-2 seconds at a time. NWAM would try to refresh DHCP on the interface, which would mean even more I/O holdup. So I disable NWAM, statically configure the ath0 interface via dladm/ifconfig, which stopped the DHCP refreshes, but hasnt stopped the link flapping. I ran APGrapher on my Mac client, and it doesn't seem that the clients drop from the network during the file transfers, just the server. The AP records the following it its logs: Wireless system with MAC address 0014A5D58768 associated Wireless system with MAC address 0014A5D58768 disconnected for reason: Received Deauthentication. Any ideas? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ networking-discuss mailing list [email protected]
