"Detect" in what way? Are you using NWAM (the default)? Have you checked the troubleshooting site? Did you run the device detection tool that's part of the live CD? What did it say? > 03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4401-B0 100Base-TX (rev > 02) There's no integrated driver for that in Solaris, but at least one person has reported success: http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/data/systems/details/4752.html using Masayuki Murayama's 'bfe' driver: http://homepage2.nifty.com/mrym3/taiyodo/eng/ > 0c:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4311 802.11b/g WLAN (rev > 01) This is reported to work using the NDIS wrapper: http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/laptop/wireless/ndis/ ... but if I had that device, I'd replace it with something more reliable, such as Atheros or Lucent. > I know Broadcom are an arse, but they're pretty common. I don't know of any current work on these; the folks who'd be doing that work are mostly on the [EMAIL PROTECTED] list. For many devices of that type, the big problem is lack of documentation. -- James Carlson, Solaris Networking <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sun Microsystems / 35 Network Drive 71.232W Vox +1 781 442 2084 MS UBUR02-212 / Burlington MA 01803-2757 42.496N Fax +1 781 442 1677 _______________________________________________ networking-discuss mailing list [email protected]
