I have two nics(e1000g0,e1000g1) and two zones ( global, zone1) in my machine. I have assigned e1000g1 for zone1, and e1000g0 will be used by global zone. I want to make zone1 and gloabe zone in the same subnet (10.0.1.0). I try to assign ip 10.0.1.1 for e1000g0 and 10.0.1.2 for e1000g1, no any errors Then I zlogin into zone1, use "ifconfig -a" to check ip and find the ip is assigned to e1000g1 correctly. But when I use "netstat -rn" to check the route table, I find no item for network "10.0.1.0", and I can not access the network in zone1. I tried to add a gateway for this network manually, but failed. How can I make these two zones in the same subnet and can communicate with each other and other machines in the same subnet?
are you using shared or exclusive IP Instances? an ifconfig -a output from the global zone might help Steffen
