In a situation like that, you can force the Solaris end to fail if you
want: setting the "ip_strict_dst_multihoming" ndd variable will cause
the system to discard packets that arrive with the "wrong" destination
address for that interface.

It probably won't help you in this case, and there are situations in
which it doesn't prevent communication out of the "wrong" interface,
but it's perhaps useful to know ...
