I installed opensolaris
edited /etc/ssh/sshd_config
PermitRootLogin yes # added this line to allow root login via ssh 
svcadm restart ssh

After doing the above I am still unable to login via ssh as root to the 
machine. Here is the output from ssh -vvvv r...@opensolaris --- see attached 
text file ssverbose.txt
*NOTE: I attempt to enter the password and it just asks me again as if it was 
incorrect even though I know it is the correct password. 

-We tried the following hoping it may fix it with no luck 
1. edit /etc/default/login and played with CONSOLE setting no luck this is 
really just for telnet anyway 
2. reset password to simple string to see if that could be it. Still no luck 
with simple password under 8 characters unable to login via ssh. 

We are still unable to login as root and do not seem to see a solution 
mentioned anywhere.
