Which OS is this?
Is it strictly every 502 seconds or does it vary slightly around the 500 seconds mark?
I notice the gap just before it is 10 seconds, not 5 as expected.
What else was the system doing at the time? (What kind of load was it under)?

Regards,
Brian

Hi,

We are using 'netstat -s -P tcp 5' and then parse out the value of tcpInInorderBytes in the past 5 seconds to calculate the bandwidth usage of our system's nic card. It works. However, now we found that netstat will output a extremely large number of tcpInInorderBytes every 502 seconds. Is it a bug of netstat? Or a problem in our usage? Any help is appreciated.
