Ying,
Thank you for your project proposal. Your project was approved by the
Networking Community Group with four +1 votes from core community
members and no -1 vote.
I will send a separate email (cc'ing you) to the opensolaris.org
infrastructure team to setup your project. Note that the OpenSolaris
Website is currently under transition and some operations requiring
changes to the web infrastructure might have to be detailed until the
transition completes, for details see
http://opensolaris.org/os/community/web/infrastructure-setup
We can create a temporary sub-page on the networking community for your
project until the transition completes, let me know if you'd like to go
down that route.
Nicolas.

We are seeking the endorsement of the Networking community for a new project:
NIC gldv3 CNA driver.
The purpose of this project is to provide early access to a Solaris
driver that will enable and ensure the availability of TCP/IP networking on a Converged Network Adapter on OpenSolaris systems with the QLogic PCI express QLE81xx hardware.
This gldv3 NIC driver belongs to the dual function Converged Network Adapter, with Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) being the other function. The QLogic QLE81xx is the world’s first single ASIC, fully integrated CNA. The FCoE driver has already been integrated into Nevada and also for the upcoming Solaris 10 U8 release.
The gldv3 NIC driver is essential to ensure that the CNA can be fully functional piece of hardware.
According to Article VIII of the OpenSolaris Constitution, we need
three +1 votes from Core Contributors
within 72 hours and no -1 votes.
Project leaders:
Ying Ping Lok
