I have the same problem. Even though I've configured my firewall to allow the configuration with the dhcp client of an interface connected to my cable modem, as described [url=http://blogs.sun.com/tonyn/entry/firewall_configuration_in_opensolaris_2009]here[/url], I find that I still have to disable ipfilter in order to get NWAM to configure my Internet connection properly every time I start up my computer.
