This driver is the open source replacement for elxl ... webrev at http://cr.opensolaris.org/~gdamore/elxl

The binary is SUNWelxl.tar.gz located in the "attachments" for this page: http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Community+Group+device_drivers/#Attachments

(Sorry if its a bit awkward to get to... the new wiki infrastructure handling of file attachments is rather ... clunky.)

Unlike the legacy closed driver, this driver supports IP checksum offload, automatic link notification (for 10baseT, 100baseTX, and 100baseFX media), and full MTU vlans. It is a full GLDv3 driver, and includes support for dladm MII properties (also unlike the closed driver!), and sports an additional "media" property ("_media" in dladm, or "media" in ndd) that can be used to change the default media for cards that have multiple physical media options.

I've personally tested 10baseT, 100baseTX, 10base2, and 100baseFX. All work properly. I've not tested 10base5, and have no plans to, nor 10baseFL. (But both of these *should* work if you have a suitable card.)

You need build 127 or thereabouts, or newer, to test. Its scheduled for integration into b135.

Please give it a whirl.
