To start with, how did you use WOL on FreeNAS? What were the tools, what was the expected usage? For OpenSolaris, what is your network driver, and what do you expect to do to cause your machine to wake? For the most part (and I know that Garrett will have a bit different opinion), WOL working on OpenSolaris will be dependant on the driver not doing something that prevents it on suspend (such as turning off the PHY's). For it to be a properly supported feature, there will need to be a good understanding of how it is expected to be used. Contribution (at least from some usability perspective) would be greatly appreciated.
