Hi,

I installed snv_134 on my Dell R610, while the onboard NICs where inactive,
since they gave me trouble with OSol 2009/6.

Now, I got the mainboard swapped out, due to a hw error on the old one and I
wanted to take another chance with the onboard NICs, but I can't get them to
work at all.

Could it be that, since the NICs where absent when I installed OSol, that the
bnxe driver has not been installed at all? I added this to /etc/driver_alias:

bnxe "pciex14e4,1639"

but upon reboot I am getting this in /var/adm/messages:

Nov 2 14:50:30 opensolaris bnxe: [ID 469706 kern.warning] WARNING: bnxe0:
Failed to get device information
Nov 2 14:50:30 opensolaris bnxe: [ID 469706 kern.warning] WARNING: bnxe2:
Failed to get device information
Nov 2 14:50:30 opensolaris bnxe: [ID 469706 kern.warning] WARNING: bnxe1:
Failed to get device information
Nov 2 14:50:30 opensolaris bnxe: [ID 469706 kern.warning] WARNING: bnxe3:
Failed to get device information

So, it does actually see the interfaces, but either the driver can't handle
them or there's something else wrong here.

Any hint would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
budy
