Thank you everyone for your input. I have configured the vnic and it does show up under dladm show-vnic
I have configured the zone for exclusive ip net = vnic001 My problem is that the zone does not configure vnic001 under /dev and will not configure it. I will keep looking cause it sounds like it should work...
