-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I just wanted to try out the NetworkManager and got the current CVS-Snapshot.
I executed ./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr/local --sysconfdir=/etc on my Debian testing machine. Afterwards I ran make and make install. No error occured. But how do I go on? Executing NetworkManager as root exits immediately. (It's not running with user-privileges.) Same with NetworkManagerDispatcher. NetworkManagerInfo returns the following error: (NetworkManagerInfo:24178): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session manager: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed. NetworkManagerInfo: nmi_dbus_service_init() could not acquire its service. dbus_bus_acquire_service() says: 'Connection ":1.32" is not allowed to own the service "org.freedesktop.NetworkManagerInfo" due to security policies in the configuration file' Thx for help Freddy - -- Frederic Gaus pgp-key: 93E6903C fingerprint: 0C55 4517 CC1E 5F7F 9059 3535 AB54 D8E8 93E6 903C -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFCEixwq1TY6JPmkDwRApykAKCYflR1g6h3n8D+iGDOiXYYBRyGGwCfZM9S ZvB5Kn4WM/KNXx9pPmOxllQ= =H/r7 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ NetworkManager-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/networkmanager-list
