I'm not running Debian (rather Gentoo, it's illegitimate child) but I
have the same issue and
adding "#define HEADERS_KERNEL" seems to fix this.
I'd love to say I understand why this works, or tell you where I got
this information but
sadly I know neither! :-) Perhaps it was that Gentopia guys that found
this.
