The best bet is to grab the Rawhide SRPM, install it, and > then 'sudo rpmbuild -ba --target > i386 /usr/src/redhat/SPECS/NetworkManager.spec' followed by 'sudo rpm > -Fhv /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386/NetworkManager*.rpm'.
Is there some reason NM needs to be built as root?? I built it in my normal build root and it built just fine, however it still does not control the wireless network. NM never starts wpa_supplicant. I am using the latest madwifi driver from subversion and the following versiona of nm: (bullwinkle pts3) $ rpm -qa | grep -i networkmanager NetworkManager-0.7.0-0.cvs20060529.1.fc5 NetworkManager-gnome-0.7.0-0.cvs20060529.1.fc5 NetworkManager-glib-0.7.0-0.cvs20060529.1.fc5 (bullwinkle pts3) $ When the wireless card is in I see the following log entries over and over again: Jun 29 21:29:13 bullwinkle netplugd[1692]: No interface name Jun 29 21:29:13 bullwinkle netplugd[1692]: Callback failed Are they significant in any way? Are there any other packages I should be upgrading? How do I trouble shoot this??
