Is there any way to give priority to a certain network? For example, I have
several wireless networks that I connect to, but if a certain network is in
range I always want to connect to that one even if others are present (and
have a stronger signal). As it is now, network manager seems to select the
one with the strongest signal (which is smart, but not always preferred).

Similar, could there be a way to tell network manager to stay on the current
network until the signal drops completely, even if other stronger-signaled
networks come into range? That would avoid "network-hopping", which is
undesirable in certain situations (ie, one network is secure and another is
not).
