You're mostly correct :) I have _very_ little faith that anything that's not in the upstream kernel actually has correct Wireless Extensions support. I have not seen any vendor driver actually support Wireless Extensions correctly, while almost all in-kernel drivers are pretty good. So it's quite unlikely that NM will work with drivers that are non in the mainline kernel or in wireless-2.6 or wireless-dev git trees. (with the exceptions of ndiswrapper and possibly linuxwlandriver, which have acceptable WE-19 and higher support) Dan > ......
