Hi, I don't think that this will work, because NM currently manages only physical interfaces.
It's the same problem when building an ethernet bridge device (e.g. for VirtualBox you need a br0 (Bridge) and a vbox0 (TUN/TAP) device. The br0 'replaces' your eth0/whatever and should be managed by NM, but it won't). If anybody knows how to do this, please tell us. It's currently the only reason why I'm still using VMware Server instead of VirtualBox. Regards, Elias P.
