hi all,

I use Ubuntu 9.04 since two weeks. As I started in Germany Network Manager
found the right wireless network at once automatically. Now I moved to
Switzerland and tried to log onto a wireless network. After having been asked
to submit the pasword Network Manager searches for about 3 minutes before it
askes me again for the password. But this time a code pressumably the WPA or
WPA2 code is already written in the field.

Luckily, I also have vista home premium 64 running on a separate hard drive,
which has absolutely no problem with logging into the right network.
I use the latest Linksys dual band wlan adapter (Linksys WMP600N Wireless-N PCI
Adapter with Dual-Band).

When checking the properties of the network connection under vista 64 I get the
following results:
field securitytype: WPA2-Personal
field Encryption: AES

I guess I have to change the encryption in the Network Manager. Maybe it is
using TKIP instead of AES.

Any other ideas how to get Network Manager logging into the wlan.
Please be aware that I am an absolute beginner in Linux.

Thank you in advance!

christoph
